Internet Business Can Spur Local Economy

MERIDIAN – More and more entrepreneurs are learning to use the Internet to create thriving businesses.  This is a great way for rural communities to increase economic activity. As its final event under the WIRED grant, the WAEM Regional Initiative is sponsoring a regional conference on this topic on Friday, June 25, 2010.  Please consider this a personal invitation for you to attend.

The goal of the conference is for more businesses to learn how to expand markets using the Internet and for more communities to learn how to encourage and support this activity. The morning session will focus on business leaders.  The afternoon session will focus on community leaders.

The conference will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian and conclude by 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served.
